Lumisonic uses a concentric ring display system that makes it easier to perceive the relationships between the shifting frequencies in the sound. You can customise the colour of the Lumisonic rings too.
To use Lumisonic, simply speak near the microphone and observe the shifting frequencies. Try saying the same word over and over again. Try to make the same pattern with your voice. Also, try comparing your voice with the voices of others. In this way, you can learn to control the type of sounds that you make with your voice more easily.
Try holding Lumisonic close to a radio or stereo. Notice how the music is automatically visualised. Lumisonic focusses on displaying frequencies in melodies and speech, making it easy for you to see the repeating patterns in most common types of music.
The technology behind Lumisonic was developed to aid those with different hearing abilities in understanding sound, but there’s no reason Lumisonic can’t be used by people who don’t have hearing impairments. Try it!
