For an overview of using Practica, please visit http://practica.mvsicha.com/Using_Practica.html
Practica (full version) gives you the ability to record your practice sessions and send those recordings to yourself or friends. It also has a programmable metronome that you can set to increase tempo over time. You can also post what you are working on to Twitter! In addition to all that, you can add comments for each day and each piece you are working on, and view statistics to see where you have been spending your time.
Practica has everything you need to keep organized, efficient and productive in each of your scheduled practice sessions. With Practica, you can keep track of how long you've practiced on each piece and scale, and see your progress over time as you approach your goal.
Create a Practice Plan with your goal as the objective (Recital, Lesson, Concert, gig, etc). Specify the start and end dates, what days of the week you'll be practicing, the pieces you'll be practicing, and whether or not to include scales in your plan.
When you enter your Practice Plan, the current day is chosen for you, with your pieces and scales ready to go!
Practica intelligently suggests a major and minor scale for you each day to ensure you cover all the scales you need in your practice plan. You can change these to other scales, including whole tone, chromatic, and modal scales, in various numbers of octaves.
To help you get to your goal, a built-in metronome will bring you up to speed in record time.
In the full version of Practica, additional features are included:
• Metronome settings. The metronome will increase in tempo up to a maximum tempo defined by you, by a number of ticks defined by you!
• Recording. You can record the pieces and scales in each practice session. Compare yesterday's practice with today's, mail your recordings to yourself, your teacher, your fans!
• Comments. Add comments for each practice plan, and for each practice day within that plan.
• Statistics. Show statistics for each practice plan which shows the total time you've spent for the past 7 days. Show statistics for each practice day, showing which pieces & scales you've spent your time on.
• Twitter. Yes, you can post to Twitter each time you start a piece or a scale, letting your fans know what you're up to now!
Practica is practice made professional!
