Ridney

This is the official Ridney app for the iPhone or iPod Touch developed by kavekreations.com. A must-have for fans of Ridney's music who want an exclusive DJ mix to listen to live via 3G/Wifi networks. Think of it as the future of podcasts! :)

ABOUT RIDNEY
Ridney's first break came in 1997 from local friend James Zabiela. After listening to one of Ridney's early mix tapes, he was asked to play a regular slot at James' night in a local Southampton venue.

Ridney began producing in early 2000. He featured in a handful of bands before striking his first success co-writing "Your Love" for Scarpi (in 2004).

Ridney continued to produce a number of singles before getting noticed by the Trophy Twins. He was asked to provide a producer guest mix on their BBC Radio One show during October 2006.

His productions and remixes in 2007 and 2008 got recognition on Pete Tong's Fast Trax show, with Ridney appearing 5 times! This included being voted one of the 4 top Bedroom Bedlam producers at the end of 2007.

His 2008 collaboration with house legend Lenny Fontana, successfully propelled his name to many territories around Europe. Their track "Wait 4 U" featured heavily on music channels and its music video was licensed for daily play in McDonalds around Europe (over 47k hits on YouTube). Licensed to Clubstar Germany, Ministry of Sound (Germany), Ministry of Sound (Australia), More Music & Media Germany, Net's Work (Italy) & Zyx (Germany). Supported on BBC Radio 1 by Pete Tong & Dave Spoon, Kiss FM by Steve Smart and Galaxy by Ben Glover.

In July 2008, Ridney scored an "Essential New Tune" on Pete Tong's BBC Radio 1 show. His collaboration with James Talk on the track "Sunshyne" was also named 2008 "Track of the Year" by Carl Cox in the Top 100 edition of DJ Magazine.

On 17th July 2009 Ridney scored a second "Essential New Tune" with Pete Tong on BBC Radio 1. This was for his follow-up collaboration with James Talk - a track inspired by the classic Pet Shop Boys track "West End Girls".

One of his other side projects - Peppe Le Funk, has seen a recent increase in fan base due to support of the tracks "Le Funk Supernova" and "Floor n Order" from Jaymo & Andy George on BBC Radio 1.
