Sync Play
Sync Play lets you play the same song in multiple devices. Change tracks and playback position in the one device and all remote devices connected to you will update automatically.
To playback in sync, all devices must have the same song in iPod library. Devices that do not have the current song will have the option to search for it on iTunes Store.
At startup, you can select from three available options:
- Music Player
- Nearby Music
- Music Server
Use the Music Player to start/stop playback and select new tracks play. Repeat and shuffle options are available and it behaves much like the regular iPod player. Any devices connected to your server will see your Music Player changes and play the same songs when available.
Select the Nearby Music option to browse for other devices running Sync Play in your vicinity (local network or bluetooth range). Selecting any device in the list will connect you to that device. You will see the current song loaded on that device and music will play in sync.
Select the Music Server option to see other clients connected to your server. They will se all your music selecting and be controlled by you. Use the Edit button to disconnect any devices from your server.
Make sure to have Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth enabled in order to use networking options of this app.
There are many uses for Sync Play. Use it for group listening at home or when doing sports outside. Plug one device on a speaker and use another one to control the playback. Or even two or more remote speakers, all playing in sync.
