WERS 88.9 FM and wers.org is the highly rated award winning student run radio station at Emerson College in Boston. WERS is New England’s oldest non-commercial radio station, founded in 1949. Among other honors and awards, WERS has been repeatedly voted the #1 college station in the prestigious Princeton Review.

WERS serves up a diverse mix of musical genres and niche programs, starting with MUSIC FOR THE INDEPENDENT MIND, a blend of vintage rock, indie, singer-songwriters, world music, blues, reggae, and R&B… along with a healthy dose of new, cutting edge music. You can hear MUSIC FOR THE INDEPENDENT MIND every weekday from 2 AM to 7PM eastern.

Weekday evenings on WERS features ROCKERS, your home for reggae, and 88.9 AT NIGHT, Boston’s original hip-hop commercial free.
