GPS Info
GPS Info for the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4, will display your:
- Location name
- Latitude
- Longitude
- Altitude
- Direction
- Speed
You can send an email or SMS message of your location details with the tap of a button, without having to leave the app. You can also display a map of your position.
Your current GPS signal strength is shown as well as the last time a position was obtained. You can choose a speed measurement (mph, kph, m/s) as well as a distance measurement (metres or feet) from the "GPS Info" section of the "Settings" app.
GPS Info is fully iOS 4 and iPhone 4 compatible with fast app switching and high resolution retina display graphics.
Please note: A speed value will only be shown if you are moving at a reasonable speed and the accuracy will depend on your GPS signal strength. For best results, your iPhone should have a clear view of the sky. iPhone 3G users, who don't have an inbuilt compass, will also need to be moving at a reasonable speed for the direction value to be shown.
