Don't worry, there's an App for that!
Using iMekka you can determine the position of Mekka wherever you are.
Simply download the application, press the Quibla and the compass will rotate towards Mekka.
But it doesn't stop there, although the inbuilt magnometer in the new iPhone 3GS makes this the ideal instrument for determining the direction of Mekka, the application is also compatible with the older iPhone versions as well as the iPod touch. (when using the older iPhone versions and the iTouch an 'N' appears above the compass needle, direct your iPhone northwards, and the compass needle will direct you towards Mekka.)
