myAltitude is a free application that uses your devices built in GPS to show you your (approximate) current altitude. The app displays elegantly your current altitude in both feet and meters above sea level, it should not be used for critical purposes, however is ideal for casual use.
myAltitude only works on devices with GPS (i.e. iPhone, iPad 3G).
If you are having problems getting this app to give you a reading-
Please check location services are turned on and enabled for this app, WiFi is disconnected, and you are standing in the open air for a more accurate reading.
Please note the reading given by this application is only as accurate as your devices GPS can be.
This app is compatible with iOS 4.0 and will run and update in the background.
However Please Note that Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life
