CityAlerts is a free public service
With all these disasters happening around the world, how will the United States be prepared for a bio-terror attack, or earthquake in major city, or nuclear explosion, or even tsunami on major coastline...and the list goes on and on.
CityAlerts.org will warn people where attacks or disasters are taking place and send information about what to do if people are caught in an incident.
When an incident occurs in a certain zip code and becomes public information, registered government accounts will broadcast that alert to members who have elected to receive warnings in that area. The system sends a text message directly to the member's wireless mobile device.
Local police, fire, EMA, OES, CERT, and rescue departments have access to send emergency alert notifications to registered members in their area.
