NewsBrief
NewsBrief is an ad free, easy to use feed reader that allows users to focus on reading news, rather than having to manage updates and feed synchronization. NewsBrief gives you a singe view summary of all your latest feeds and allow you to read news from mixed sources simultaneously. News items can also be read and organized by feed sources, publish times and last read times. News items can be bookmarked for easy retrieval or searched upon using NewsBrief's indexed search functionality.
Font colors, navigation bar colors and gradients can be configured in the Settings menu. Also font sizes and summary view sizes can be customized to your liking in the Settings menu.
What's new
This release addresses a number of issues reported by users, as well as, as the most popular feature
requested by users, which is a better way of feed discovery. When adding a location for a new or existing feed,
a embedded browser view allow you to navigate or search for a feed. The link to the feed is automatically detected
and use for the feed's location. Improved application startup time, especially with large feed databases.
Recent Fixes:
• Fixed Cancel Button action in Item View command sheet. (no longer opens safari).
• Changed "Downloading" feeds message to "Searching".
• Changed Item link URL display to "View Original Post".
• Fixed Search view to not search as query text is entered.

• Support feed protocol replacement to http.
• Add navigation controls for embedded Item Browser.
Optimizations:
• Reduced timer frequency to report on feed updates quicker.
• Optimized vdb vacuum operations to only occur after db cleanup to improve startup times.
• Improved App startup times by only performing db cleanup operations once a day.
