Director's Viewfinder

Director's Viewfinder is a basic electronic version of the classic optical viewfinder used by directors and cinematographers to compose a scene without having to haul a complete camera setup while location scouting, etc.

Director's Viewfinder was inspired by the "Wallet Viewfinder" described in Ron Dexter's "No Camera-Camera Course", which you can find here:

I carried a card just like the one described here for years, but I often found it bent, forgotten or otherwise unsuable when I happened across an opportunity to practice or a beautiful location that I would like to throw a frame around. This is why I wrote "Director's Viewfinder"; I always have my iPhone with me, and the electronic version is much more durable than the paper one.

Director's Viewfinder offers some additional features as well. It features the four most common aspect ratios used by video filmmakers as well as the ability to snap an annotated still photo of the scene by tapping anywhere on the image in the viewfinder.
