iDof Calc
In optics, particularly as relates to film and photography, the depth of field (DOF) is the portion of a scene that appears acceptably sharp in the image. A depth of field calculator is a useful photographic tool for assessing what camera settings are required to achieve a desired level of sharpness. With this tool you can adjust such parameters as viewing distance, desired aperture, focal length and your camera crop factor. Crop factor is the setting which you may set up simply by choosing your camera brand and model or you can just specify it exactly. Thats all you need to do to get your result! iDof Calc will output for you such values as:
* The hyper-focal distance - distance beyond which all objects can be brought into an "acceptable" focus
* Far focus limit - distance to the farthest focused object
* Depth of field - portion of a scene that appears acceptably sharp in image
* Near focus limit - distance to the closest focused object
