SmartSplice Lite

Stop tediously selecting individual pixels! SmartSplice Lite uses advanced graphics algorithms to greatly improve the speed and ease of creating high-quality image selections. SmartSplice Lite even handles partial-translucency! Extract people and objects from various photos and splice them together with this handy app. Use the provided filters to auto-enhance images and play with the use of color.

Seamless interaction with Buddy Groups and Buddy Groups Lite (free) versions 2.0 or later:
* Buddy Groups (Lite) allows you to create photo galleries and manage group contacts. SmartSplice Lite allows you to save to/load from these galleries. This means you can organize your creations into logical galleries. For example, you no longer have to pollute the default album location (e.g., camera roll) with intermediate images during the creation process. You can also have different galleries for different photo creations.
* Buddy Groups also lets you trade galleries wireless (over WiFi and Bluetooth) so you can share your SmartSplice creations with others. You can also share the extracted clippings!
* SmartSplice also allows you to email images to groups of people using the groups you define in Buddy Groups (Lite).


EXAMPLE USES:
(1) Leave only a specific portion of an image in full color.
(2) Insert missing people into group photographs.
(3) Splice various objects into a single image.
(4) Paste over unwanted parts of an image.
(5) Extract objects and insert them at different sizes
(for artistic or comic effect).


MORE ABOUT IMAGE EXTRACTION:
The extraction process is simple:
(1) Load an image (or capture via a camera if available).
(2) Choose "Smart extract" from the extract menu at the bottom.
(3) Use the "Rough outline" tool to quickly paint a very
rough outline of the object (this outline can be coarse,
but should cover the actual object boundary).
(4) Click "Next" and use the "Foreground" bucket fill tool
to fill in the rest of the foreground object.
(5) Click "Extract object".
(6) Optionally further refine the extracted image if desired.
Click "Edit clipping". Use "Erase" to erase and "Restore"
to undo any erasures.
Note: You can always use the "Move/zoom" tool to drag and
zoom the image. Single touch to drag, pinch to control zoom.

All the example output images were created within only a couple minutes.
