Assistant Director is an app aimed at indie and casual movie makers. It takes on some of the roles of an assistant director, giving you more time to be creative.

You can enter in any number of scenes, people and items into your movie project, and keep track of which people and items are needed in each scene.

So what can it do exactly?

Scenes:

• Enter shoot dates, shoot locations, people and items involved
• Quickly list similar scenes based on the above parameters

People:

• Specify whether a person is an actor, crew or both
• Specify character names and crew role names
• Easy access to contact details for SMS, calling and emailing
• Quickly see which scenes a person is involved in

Items:

• Specify item types
• Specify if an item is hired, and when it's due
• Quickly see which scenes an item is in

All:
• Add notes to any scene, person or item
• Add an image to any scene, person or item

...plus many more features, such as multiple options for scene and item ordering and support for multiple projects.

What's new

Update is finally here! Fixes a few bugs (including crashes with iOS 4) and adds a whole lot of new features.

New features are:

• Ability to assign a character name to an actor, and a role name to a crew member.

• The ability to sort people by character name or crew role name.

• The ability to attach photos to any scene, person or item. This can be a new photo with the iPhone camera or a photo from the photo library.

• The ability to add notes to scenes, people and items.

• Brand new interface!
