Fuel Consumption Indicator (FCI)
Because I don't have a board computer in my car I wrote this usefull app for the iPhone with GPS.
!!!You have to know the cd (cw,cx) value, the weight, the front face and the engine type of your car. If you are able to find out this values of your car you can use FCI. More information on http://www.brainymode.com !!!
FCI shows you:
-the current fuel consumption of your car
-the average fuel consumption of your car
-the total fuel consumption of your car during your trip
-the current CO2 emission of your car
-the average CO2 emission of your car
-the total CO2 emission of your car during your trip
-the currently generated horse power
-the currently generated power in kw
-the current speed of your car
-the average speed of your car
-the duration of your trip
-the distance you have travelled
-the compass direction of your car
If you tap on a value it can be shown as Head-Up Display if you lay down the iPhone on its back.
!BATTERY DISCLAIMER!: FCI runs in background. Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life!
FCI does work in normal traffic conditions. In stop and go phases with less then 50m or 50yards driving it can't work correct.
