FiberSolver
FiberSolver computes the main scalar (LP) or vectorial (HE, EH, TE, and TM) modes of a step-index optical fiber.
The optical fiber can contain up to five layers. Each layer can be made of different materials as silica, air, water or Ge-doped silica.
FiberSolver computes :
- Mode field in 2D and in 3D,
- Effective index,
- Propagation constant,
- Effective area,
- Group index,
- Dispersion,
- Mode diameter,
- Modal numerical aperture,
- Fraction of power in the fiber core.
All these parameters can be calculated for different wavelengths and temperatures.
