Flipper is a MySQL client designed from the ground up for iPhone use. Writing queries and retrieving results from a MySQL database (version 4.1.0 and above) has never been this fast or easy.

Features include:

- Write complex sql queries and submit them over the network to MySQL databases
- SQL-iPad makes writing queries a snap
- Retrieve and save the entire database schema
- Once written, store queries to run again. Last results of each query are also saved.
- Name each database on the iPhone for easy organization.
- Queries and results stored on the iPhone, no connection needed to view previous results.

What's new

1.4 is a significant update to Flipper. In this version, we introduce stability fixes, user interface enhancements and make adding servers and queries much simpler and more intuitive.

User Interface Improvements:

- button to add server (instead of "Edit Button" and the "Add Server" button)
- easier to re-order or delete servers (no need to press the edit button)

- Improved Server Configuration Screen
. You see all the properties on the screen, no more scrolling.
. Text Entries now offer a "Next" button on the keyboard that takes you to the next field to edit
. Menu of Database (schema)
~ Flipper attempts to connect to your server and get a list of database available to your user
~ If available, an icon will appear in the right portion of the Text Field
~ tapping on the icon will present a list of known databases
~ tapping on a row in that list will select the database
. You still have the option of typing in a database name
. Client Language selection is available

MySQL Communications Improvements:

Flipper now properly handles errors when converting MySQL data into UTF-8 for display on the iPhone.
Flipper more robust in handling connection failures with MySQL servers.
- Reports unsupported server versions (older than mysql 4.1)
- Reports other server connection problems like "Host denied access"

Startup Crash Protection:
If Flipper exits abnormally 3 times in a row, its next start will be at the top level screen, the list of server connections.
- this situation is usually caused by data (like an unusually large query result)
