Perfect for the busy person with a busy brain.
Store and retrieve what you will most likely forget in seconds.
*Popular uses*
*Sales people: Great for anyone who sells for a living. You can't afford to forget a name. Before going into the meeting recall the company, study the names and if necessary recall all of them in less than 3 seconds.
*Busy people: Great for people who frequent social gatherings, meetings, or just about anyone who wishes there was just more time in a day
*People with slight medical conditions: Medical studies show that diligent use of a tool like this can help with remembering names through what is called associative learning. It has also proved to be an invaluable tool for people with slight medical conditions such as ADD or ADHD.
My story
"I wrote the program and have entered over 500 names and numbers. Please remember it is NOT a replacement for your contacts. It is a tool to help you remember the name of the people, places or things you are likely to forget. It has truly become an extension of my brain. But I must warn you, it is only as good as the information you enter. The value comes after your first few entries. After 25 you become addicted. If you don’t make the effort it becomes one more app that you won’t use.
Here is how I use it everyday.
*Certain passwords and frequently used numbers (frequent flier miles, Facebook passwords, etc.)
*Remembering Events and VIP’s: I've used it to help remember celebrities, political figures, book names and of course sports figures. As I write these, I am 8x more likely to remember.
*All those parents of the kids your son knows or the kids of those parents your significant other knows….you get the idea.
*Business: Sales calls and business functions. I meet people everyday that I can’t afford to forget. I say Hi, they introduce themselves, I repeat their name. I enter it while walking, sitting or a quick trip to the boys room. Within seconds they are entered.I can add more information later. This happens during a break or after the meeting.
My business partner, Nathan, and I made it simple, intuitive and wanted to make it store or retrieve just about anything in less than 10 seconds” Greg Bauer - Co-founder
How it works:
1. Create your profile: Advantage to registering allows you to sync with the website for easy entry and backup of data.
2. Adding a Forget Me Not: Click on Add on the front page. You can download from your existing iPhone contacts or add a new entry, then add a clue and/or association and within seconds your entry is complete. You now started your base. Your Forget Me Not names can be expanded later, on-line or through the app. BTW, it doesn’t populate itself. These are your Forget Me Nots, not ours.
3. Photos: If you have a photographic memory, you can take pictures through your phone or take a picture on the spot. You can also add them later through the Forget Me Not website and sync them back to your phone
4. Searching: Within seconds you can recall any Forget Me Not by typing in any clue. Don’t forget, you already forgot their name.
It is time to start adding the names and information you always forget.
