Four Quadrants - Time Management

Four Quadrants - Time Management is an application for the iPhone and iPod Touch that was created to help you identify and prioritize daily tasks by urgency and importance. By doing so, not only will you have your tasks organized, you will begin to identify "time-wasters" and start to spend time on items that matter most.


Begin by identifying the four quadrants.


I. Important / Urgent- Items
Examples:
-Crises
-Pressing problems
-Deadline-driven projects

II. Important / Not Urgent - Items
Examples:
-Prevention, capability improvement
-Relationship building
-Recognizing new opportunities
-Planning, recreation

III. Not Important / Urgent - Items
Examples:
-Popular activities
-Some mail, some reports
-Some meetings
-Proximate, pressing matters

IV. Not Important / Not Urgent - Items
Examples:
-Trivia, busy work
-Some mail
-Some phone calls
-Time wasters
-Hobbies

Four Quadrants - Time management was designed so that all items are displayed on a single screen. Easily add and remove from the list without losing visibility to your items. Reordering of tasks is as easy as dragging and dropping. Additional notes are displayed in a pop-up window when selected to reduce the amount of navigation required.
