1 ) Extensive Band-Mode filtering:
The band-mode filters are controlled with a new Filter Panel touch interface screen. The entire set of Band-Mode filters and their current state is visible at a single glance, with large easy to read buttons.
The Main Spots List screen optionally shows the current filter state along the bottom row for quick viewing of the currently selected Band-Mode filters.
Band-Mode filtering is applied after the Spot Origination Filter (see below); these filters are created and applied natively within hamDXCluster.
2) New main screen controls:
A new row of control buttons has been added to the Main Spots List screen:
Filters - brings up the Band-Mode filter panel.
SH/DX - immediately sends a SH/DX/10 corresponding to the selected filters; the Main Spots List screen will then display the 10 most recent spots according to your Band-Mode and Spot Origin filter selections.
Clear - clears the Spots List screen.
3) Spot Origin Filter
This version includes 3 options for spot origin filtering:
All - spotters from all areas of the world are allowed.
North America - only spotters from USA, Mexico, and Canada are allowed.
No North America - spotters from everywhere but USA, Mexico, and Canada are allowed.
The Spot Origin filter uses the cluster node origin filters to pass only spots from the indicated areas to the hamDXCluster App. This provides another level of control before the Band-Mode filters are applied.
The state of the spot origination filter is controlled from the Commands Screen.
4) Improved spots time order display and sorting
The most recent real time spot is always displayed at the top of the spots list. Because the incoming spot time stamp is set by the spotter's PC, spots could be out of real time order, which might result in missing a valuable spot if it were to appear down the list because of an incorrect time stamp. This version does not alter the displayed time stamp. This keeps each spot's data consistent with that stored in the cluster network.
Spots returned in response to a SH/DX command now appear in correct time order, according to their time stamps as stored in the cluster database. If new real time spots arrive while the SH/DX response is being displayed, because all spots are now sorted according to their relative time stamps as described here, correct time order newest to oldest is always maintained. This is an improvement over earlier versions.
