Show Timer
Show Timer is a multi-purpose timer designed specifically for stage- and event-managers. It has both a stopwatch and a countdown timer.
The stopwatch timer provides basic start, hold, continue, and reset functions. Use it to time rehearsals or performances. Tap Hold and Continue at rehearsal pauses to get accurate running times.
The countdown timer can be set to a time duration, or it can count down to a specific clock time. Before a performance, set it for the planned starting time -- for example 8pm -- and it will always display the time remaining until then. During an intermission set it for the intermission duration -- for example 20 minutes -- and it will count down that amount of time instead.
When the countdown timer reaches zero it will change color from green to yellow and start counting up to measure time past the target time. If the ShowTimer app is not active when the countdown time is reached, a timer notification message will be displayed. If sound is enabled in the Settings page for ShowTimer, an audible alarm will also play.
The two timers are completely independent of each other. Either can be stopped, reset, and started while the other timer is running. Also, interruptions from phone calls, use of other apps, or the device going to sleep will not disrupt "background" timing.
Show Timer keeps a log of all timing starts and stops. The log is fully editable, and in its phrase book you can define phrases like "Act 1" or "Intermission" to paste into the log without typing. Your edited log can then be emailed without leaving Show Timer.
If you are a stage manager or event manager, make space for Show Timer on your first home screen. You will use it every day.
