iPhone Metal Detector
Use your iPhone 3GS to find studs in the wall, or any sort of magnetic metal hidden from view. This app uses the magnetometer to find perturbations in the magnetic field caused by the metal nearby.
For best results, point the right edge of the iPhone where the magnetometer is located, to the scan area.

Procedure for finding Studs in the Wall
Hold the right edge of the iPhone (while facing the screen) towards the wall and move it along the horizontal. When Stud Find beeps, it just detected a Stud in your wall, for you to drive a nail into!
