Video Playlist Manager Lite
VPM is a professionally designed, stand-alone video playback system that uses its own video library, which you create by individually transferring videos from your PC or Mac into Video Playlist Manager.
With Video Playlist Manager, you can easily manage and customize playback of videos on the iPad and other iOS devices. Clear controls for starting, stopping and looping playback, fullscreen and external monitor support, and iPad's famously long battery-life combine to make this app part of an ideal solution for creating elegant, self-contained video displays at trade shows and other events. Simply prop up the iPad, hit play, and walk away!
Several custom branding options are also supported in Video Playback Manager, including watermarks and interstitial slides:
A watermark is an image that floats in front of your videos while they are playing. Watermarks typically depict small logos or other branding elements.
Interstitial slides are fullscreen slides that appear between clips in your playlist. These are typically used to display a fullscreen ad or logo.
Both branding options are highly customizable to support a variety of usage scenarios, and may easily be toggled on or off.
In this Lite version, looped playback is not supported, and the number of videos is limited to 5. These features may be added via in-app purchase, or you may simply purchase the full version from the app store, which supports looping and unlimited video clips.
NOTE: this is not an app to organize existing videos in your iTunes library!
What's new
Version 2.1 of Video Playlist Manager includes minor fixes and performance improvements, as well as several requested features:
1) option to pause playlist on last frame or on the logo
2) option to disregard all user input (for kiosk purposes)
3) option to display individual clip and playlist durations
(new options are configurable in the VPM section of the Preferences app)
