Accident Finder
Nearly 40,000 people are killed in car accidents every year in the United States. 1/3rd involve a drunk driver.
I created this as a public service and I hope I can help raise awareness of drunk driving such that people think twice before getting in their car. I also hope friends and loved ones become more willing to take away friends' keys if they shouldn't be on the road.
Thank you for all the support and kind words. An updated version of the app is coming soon. A few bugs will be fixed and you will be able to search by address.

Accident Finder lets you see exactly where deadly car accidents have occurred. You can identify areas where you live or travel that may be prone to accidents. Figure out which highway on-ramps are the most dangerous in your area. See where drunk drivers have been involved in fatal accidents near your home or anywhere in the US.
Accident Finder also lets you see the time and date of each accident and the number of fatalities.
You can also jump to national hot spots where numerous accidents occur. For instance, the area around the "The Strip" in Las Vegas has several blocks that each have at least one drunk driving fatality EVERY YEAR.
Accident Finder requires iPhone version 3.0 since Accident Finder uses advanced iPhone map features. Accident Finder also displays information for the United States only since all data comes from the US government's NHTSA database. All data is from 2004 - 2008. 2009 data will only be released by the US government in 2010.
And remember, drive safely.
