It has all the features of its larger siblings, with options to browse through names or images, and the Bird Finder to help identify mystery birds. You can make your own notes about birds, mark favourites, mark birds as 'seen' and add the current date, time and location with just the tap of a button.

If you like this mini version and decide to buy the full Bird Guide, you can transfer all your notes and sighting details to the full app using the simple email transfer system.

What's new

The app now recognises the names of over 700 species and subspecies, so that you can record sightings of these birds. In addition, a Twitter link has been added (iOS5 only) when a bird is marked as 'seen'.
