Bruce R. McConkie (July 29, 1915 – April 19, 1985) was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from 1972 until his death. During his service as a general authority, McConkie published several doctrinal books and articles and wrote the chapter headings of the LDS Church's most recent editions of the Standard Works.
