designnear

designnear - the first sophisticated guide to US contemporary architecture made by architects for architects.

designnear includes over 2,100 images of over 575 projects (as of 1-1-2010), including important architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, urban design and public art.

Projects include information on designer (or artist), date, size, client and description. Projects are linked to maps and can be found via designer, project name, location, etc. You can filter projects by type.

Want your project to be included? Got great pictures of a project you visited on an archi-tour? Send to projects@hopnear.com We will give credit to all who submit. Thanks to all who have already submitted work.

IMPORTANT:

1. While we have over 2,100 images, we do not yet have images for all projects but are adding them frequently.

2. This is a guide to CONTEMPORARY projects. We have included a few historical projects, but the focus is on early modern and contemporary work.

3. This guide is ONLY US CITIES LISTED ABOVE AT THIS TIME (and Toronto) - we have not posted work in South America, Asia or Europe at this time (but we plan to in the future)

4. To get all of the most recent work, you need to update your cache. To do that you select the DESIGNER tab, and select the "cache" button on the upper right and download the updates. It only takes a few seconds.
