Welcome to the wonderful world of purebred DOGS. Now featuring over 200 of the world’s dog breeds, some old friends and many breeds not seen very often. More are being added on a regular basis, DOGS provides you with well-researched information and beautiful original photography of man’s best friends.

You can search by breed name or by size to help you learn about these fascinating creatures and which breeds might best fit your lifestyle. The breed description includes a short history, the breed’s use, the size, the coat type, the temperament, health issues, and interesting facts.

The author and photographer, Toni Beninger, has nearly 40 years of international experience in the breeding and exhibition of show dogs. She has “an eye for a dog” which can be seen in the app’s photographs. She has photographed some of the biggest shows in North America, Crufts in England, and World Shows in Europe.

Take DOGS with you the next time you go to a dog park, dog show, or agility competition to get a definitive answer to the question: What breed is that?

What's new

We have included an additional 60 interesting breeds bringing the total now to over 200 different breeds from nearly 60 countries. We have included some rare breeds often only seen in their country of origin, such as the Caucasian Ovtcharka from Azerbaijan and the Kooikerhondje form the Netherlands.
