Flashonary for the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad
is an integrated Chinese-English and Chinese-German dictionary and flashcard application.

Both dictionary and flashcards do not require an internet connection.

Mandarin Chinese-English & Mandarin Chinese-German Dictionaries

- Search by simplified characters, traditional characters, pinyin (with or without tone marks) or english.
- Search your flashcards as easily as searching the dictionary. Word’s you’ve added as flashcards are shown first in search results so you see the words you are more likely to use first.
- Filter results by number of characters so you can find those 4 character idiom’s easily.
- Add words to your word list and study them as flashcards with a click of a button.
- See both traditional and simplified characters, pinyin pronunciations, english/german meanings, classifiers (measure words), examples and chinese work component break downs on one screen.

Flashcards

- Create flashcards from dictionary entries automatically or create custom flashcards for words or phrases not in the dictionary.
- Study your words using your flashcards. Flashcards are prioritised by how well you know them. Those that you get wrong often are shown more often, while those that you answer correctly are shown less often.
- Study both Chinese to English/Chinese to German (reading) and English to Chinese/German to Chinese (writing) at the same time.
- Organise your words into folders. Manage your flashcards according to how you learn .
- Study all your flashcards at once, or select only those that you want to study.
- Audio pronunciations (available as an in-app purchase).
- Landscape/Portrait mode for your comfort.
