il Latino

iOS Universal

Il Latino for iOS is a useful tool meant to assiststudents in the translation process as well as teachers and enthusiasts of the Latin language.
The application consists of:
· The offline database (no internet connection required) containing all terms and definitions of the “Il Latino” vocabulary by G.B. Conte, E. Pianezzola, G. Ranucci.
· A search engine in both the Latin-to-Italian and Italian-to-Latin directions.
· An integrated search engine for the grammar inflections (cases and verbal forms) allowing the user to trace thecorrect term given its declension or conjugation.
· An alphabetical view.
· Declension tables for each noun, adjective or pronoun.
· Conjugation tables for each verb.
· The meaning of the main abbreviation used in the vocabulary, appearing upon tapping on the corresponding short form.
· The capability of sharing a term by sending its definition by e-mail or by posting it on Facebook or Twitter.
· A personal favourite list, built by tagging the favourite terms.
· A history list containing the recentlysearched terms.
· The backup of the favourite list usingiTunes sharing.

The application also contains the “Verbum Movere” gadget, which allows – upon start – a random selection of a term of the vocabulary.

The “Il Latino” vocabulary by G.B. Conte, E. Pianezzola, G. Ranucci, published by Le Monnier, consists of:
· 52,000+ Latin terms
· 26,000+ Italian terms
· 150,000+ quotations from 400+ authors

The il Latino for iOS will soon be available for Apple iPad!

THE APPLICATION DOES NOT REQUIRE AN INTERNET CONNECTION AND IS FULLYFUNCTIONAL ALSO WHEN OFFLINE.
IN CASE OF RE-INSTALLATION OF THE APPLICATION NO CHARGE WILL BE MADE.

The new release, in addition to the search for inflected forms, also gives the possibility to search the citations contained in the vocabulary, typing one or more words, the author's name or title.

The iPad version contains all the features of the iPhone one.
