Know Your Rights: American Flag
American Flag is the fourth in the Know Your Rights series.
Included is the National Flag Code (a statute that describes the proper way to show respect for flag and country), provisions about flag holidays, the national anthem (plus lyrics), and criminal violations.
The Flag Code contains provisions, for example, that describe the official width of a stripe & diameter for a star, the Pledge of Allegiance, and when the flag should be displayed.
Statutory provisions include presidential orders and congressional findings. For example, Congress added 16 reasons that support the Pledge of Allegiance.

The U.S.C. is current as of August 12, 2009 based upon The Office of the Law Revision Counsel (LRC) classification tables.
