The Kobold provides the information for IPv4 address assigned country. The features is as follows.

・Show the ISO 3166 country codes, the country name, the Regional Internet Registry (RIR), the area covered by RIR and the allocated/assigned IPv4 address and its date
・Provide the RFC documents when the search result is the Special-Use IPv4 address in RFC (1700, 1918, 2365, 2544, 3068, 3171, 3330)
・Record the search history automatically
・Offline searching with an embedded database
・Update the database via network

It will be useful for network and system administrators to audit various logs of network systems, sender of spam mails, and so on. But this is the expensive and unnecessary application for general users.

Update Database:
The database for Kobold has been updating on the server every each day. If your iPhone / iPod touch is network reachable, this application will confirm that you want to update the database via network on launching time. The size of database is about 3MB and under. It takes a few seconds to download the database via Wi-Fi.
