Time is a very valuable asset in ones life and stream of life flows very fast. It does not halt or stop. It is the generosity of Time that it passes continuously, thereby enabling us to bear the tragedies of life. Passing time is the best medicine for the wounds inflicted to heart. If the time stops, then perhaps it would virtually be impossible for human beings to survive in this world. Every person would look like a picture of anguish and a tale of misery.
Few years ago, life was passing very swiftly through the normal vicissitudes and suddenly certain incidents occurred that ruined the tranquility of day and night. The whole life was disrupted. During those days The Book of Prayers (Kitab us Salat) was under compilation.
Today, I ponder and wonder how a person like me, less knowledgeable and unacquainted, accomplished this whole work. The reality of the fact is, my engagement of the compilation of The Messenger of Allah (SAWS) Ahadeeth made me so much absorbed in it that the events in the outside world were secondary to me. Hence I was not only saved by the miseries, but also this compilation work was not delayed. Had I not been busy with The Book of Prayer (Kitab us Salat), my life would have been totally different today. Therefore, this minor compilation of Ahadeeth of The Messenger of Allah(SAWS), proved to be my companion and sympathizer during the very tough and difficult journey. I believe that despite all my shortcomings, sins, deficiencies Alla's mercy on me is a result of Blessing of the salaat aln-Nabiyye (Durood). The Messenger of Allah's (SAWS) name comes on my lips while reading & writing again and again Ahadeeth of Syed ul Mursaleen, Ralimtulil Alameen, Shafee ul Muznibeen. Hadi Barhaq, Sadiq wa masdooq (SAWS) once very rightly said to one of his companions Ubaiyy bin Kaab (R.A)0 Kaab, if you devote all your supplications on sending Salaat (Durood) on me, it will outweigh all the sorrow and destitution in your worldly life and the life hereafter.
What Allah stated in His Holy Book:
0 Muhammad (SAWS)! Say; this Quran is a guide and cure for the people of faith.” (Surah Ha-Mee,n As-Sajda, Verse 44)
Without any doubt, we can say the same about The Messenger of Allah's(SAWS) words that they are a guide and cure for the people of faith. It is written in the history of Baghdad that whenever Imam Ramadi fell sick he used to say; Read me Hadeeth, there is cure in it. In Sub-continent Indo- Pak, who does not know Khanwadah Shah Waliullah's service for Islam? His father Shah Abdul Raheem used to say; Whatever service we rendered for Islam, it was all due to the sanctity and blessing of Salaat alan-Nabiyye.
Allama Sakhawi in Qaul ul Badee wrote various Ahadeeth about it and said that, some Muhadditheen's (Ahadeeth writer) salvation was due to sanctity of Salaat alan-Nabiyye which they used to read and utter while writing The Messenger of A11ah(SAWS)'s name.
Immediately after personally experiencing the purity and blessing of Salaat alan-Nabiyye, I have determined to compile The Salaat alan-Nabiyye (Kitabus Salaat Alan-Nabiyye (SAWS)) after completing The Book of Cleanliness (Kitab Ut Taharah), even before compiling The Book on Following the Prophet,s path (Kitab us Sunnah). Alhamdulillah, Allah fulfilled my wishes and determination. This book's prominence is a result of Allah's greatness and any deficiencies are due to my faults and shortcomings.
May Allah shower His blessing on all these people and make them privileged to receive The Messenger of Allah's(SAWS) interception on the Day of Judgment. (Ameen)
O Allah! Accept our efforts - Verily You are the All-Listener and All-Knower - O Allah! Turn unto us (in mercy) Verily You are the One Who accepts repentance, the Most Merciful.
