Famous is a new form of social networking / social experiment application that offers everyone a chance at their 15 minutes of fame. Submit a profile for yourself just to let the world know who you are. Build a band profile to get people listening to those MP3s you’ve got on your site. Promote your blog, or personal website.
Every 15 minutes, a profile is randomly selected from the pool and made active. For the next 15 minutes, every Famous user in the world sees that profile on the main “Who’s Famous?” screen.
Users can also browse profiles on the Famous server, submit ratings, and send messages (with image attachments) to other Famous users with the inbuilt messaging system.
