Keshet Rescue

In response to increased euthanasia of large breed dogs, Keshet Rescue provides a refuge for owner surrender. We understand that there are an infinite number of reasons for pet owners having to give up their pets. The reasons for giving up a pet are only of concern to the individual. Keshet is concerned with ensuring that the pet is not lost in the circumstances.

Keshet Rescue’s focus is large breed dogs because we believe that large breed dogs are more at risk. Unlike other rescues, many of our residents are older and/or have medical conditions. For this reason most of them are not good prospects for adoption. So although we call ourselves a rescue, we are in fact a refuge for many of these dogs.

The Keshet Rescue iPhone Application is the number one way to connect and stay informed about Keshet Rescue organization, activities and events. It allows you to view Keshet Rescue news, events, videos, pictures and enables you to share them with your friends and advocates using Facebook and Twitter. This application puts you in touch with the dog community, inviting you to Twitter and answer surveys to share your view on issues of importance to the health and welfare of dogs.

Using the Keshet Rescue iPhone application, you can:

- Find big breed dogs available for adoption from Keshet Rescue

- View photos, videos and current news and information related to Keshet Rescue operations, events and initiatives

- View photos, videos and current news and information from a variety of organizations related to big breed dogs

- Share news and information from the application with your friends via Facebook and Twitter with "one-click"

- Participate in surveys and opinion polls related to issues of concern to big breed dog owners - make your voice heard!

What's new

1. Postcard Feature: Send postcards to friends using email, Facebook or Twitter. Use photos of dogs within the app or use one of your own.

2. Publications: This section provides documents with information pertaining to services provided by Keshet Kennels/Rescue such as rates for boarding and facilities rental. It also supports publications such as newsletters intended to keep people informed about the operation, as well as fun and educational materials such as puzzles to test your knowledge of dogs.
