PickUpDate

A new way of establishing a relationship was born when online social networks got popularized. Text messaging became the way of flirting. Many relationships start from online social networks. Some prefer this way because it is easy and convenient. Internet social network takes away the pressures of talking face-to-face with someone you are really interested. It eases the embarrassment when your target turns you down. PicUpDate is an app to help users to get a taste of the old school way of dating. This allows you to locate someone who fits your preference. Then, you can go meet your target in his/her current location. You can also choose to send an SMS from the app. It is easy. Alternatively, you can set your profile in the app, stay where you are (a public place such as a bar or restaurant is preferred), and let other lonely souls to search you from their iPhone. It is also very easy.

Usage example #1:
When you are bored and want to find someone to have a few drinks with, but none of your buddies are available. You can set your preferences on PicUpDate and search. A list of matches in detail will be returned from the server showing their current location. From the list, you can see their messages, send them an SMS, or get the direction to their current location.

Usage example #2:
When you are bored can want to find someone to have a few drinks with, but none of your buddies are available. You can go to your favorite bar. When you are there, you can set your preferences on PicUpDate so it will be updated on the server. What you do next is wait and hope that someone will find you on their PicUpDate. If you are lucky, you will meet someone you like that night. If you are out of luck, … You get the idea.

PicUpDate is perfect for lonely singles who prefer a more direct way (an older way) of encounters. If you are not a fan of using internet social networks to find your mate, you should try this app. This app is more efficient when more users utilize it. In the beginning of the release, the number of users will be low. Therefore, please be patient. You may not find anyone you like at first. But, after the ramp up stage, this app will be a tool you won't regret trying.
