r8m-Teachers

What do you think of your Math teacher? How does he/she compare with the Chemistry, or PE teacher? Wouldn’t it be fun to rank all the teachers you know and then share that ranking with all your friends? r8m-Teachers is a fun tool for doing just that.
With r8m-Teachers you can easily and objectively measure and rank any teachers you are interested in. Then, in addition to emailing the list between you and your friends, you can constantly re-evaluate them depending on the most recent test or homework assignments given.
The rating system is easy. You just pick a number between 1 and 10 in a number of categories that you decide are important, and the app does the rest (sorting, displaying in an easy to read way, etc.) Some of the pre-configured ranking categories are: Knowledge of Subject, Interesting, Control of Classroom, Tests and many more. The good news is that you can add any additional categories that you think are important and you can ignore or even remove the ones you don’t like.
After entering values in the categories you care about, the tool will automatically rank, for quick viewing, every teacher in your list.
Some features include:
- Dynamic sorting of teachers in each weighted category (ie. of all the teachers, who do I think knows their subject the best).
- Ability to weight the various categories (ie. if for you the kinds of homework assignments given is crucial it may get a weight of 30, but if classroom control is not as important, it may get a weight of 15)
- Sorted totals for all classifications of teachers (it is intended that teachers would be sorted by Schools, but if you like, they can be sorted by subject, gender, or whatever you like).
- Ability to take notes on all categories for each teacher, allowing you to remember what it was you liked or disliked so much with respect to any particular ranking
- Ability to email rankings to any person in your address book that may be curious
- All categories and classifications are editable (remove, add, modify) in order to tailor the tool to your specific desires
- Negative values can be used to rank teachers in non-desirable categories like ‘Spits while talking’
