Tweesy

       iOS iPhone

Tweesy is a simple and lightweight Twitter client. It was primarily designed to transfer minimal network traffic due to the limited bandwidth of the iPhone 2G´s Edge connection.
Tweesy is of course compatible with the 3G and 3GS iPhones and will be improved and updated for future generations.

Features:
- No Adverts!
- List friends recent Tweets
- List of "mentions"
- No images are downloaded to save on bandwidth. This also avoids long waits where twitter users have uploaded large profile images
- Direct messaging, this has a simple input field for the recipient. Useful for those who have thousands of contacts on their lists, which could not possibly be downloaded into an address list. You can only send direct messages to friends however.
- Displays remaining character limit

- Available in English and German

What's new

- Reworked Search. This now functions the same as Friends. You can also reply directly to displayed search results.
- Improved URL detection (now recognises urls without the http://.
- Recognises hash tags, you will now be taken automatically to the search when you click on one in the tweet info page.
- Recognises @ for usernames and when clicked in the tweet info page takes you to the timeline for that user.
- Improved handling of HTML Entities
- Bugfix: Replies to tweets in a users timeline now function correctly
- Bugfix: with direct messages being encoded
- Bugfix: where new direct messages were not being shown
- Tweet info pane expanded to show all of the tweet
