Twitter:
Only available for iPhone 3GS users
Fans of Twitter behold - the 1st Augmented Reality Twitter app has just landed to feed your thirst for news and views everywhere.
Augmented Reality + Twitter = a must-have interactive experience!
Holding the phone up vertically shows all the tweets around you in 360 degrees of Augmented Reality view, with the distances and photos of the people tweeting around you.
People you are following are highlighted in blue and sliding your finger up and down allows you to see tweets that are further away. You can access your profile at any time using the 1st icon on the bottom left of your screen. Within your profile you can write a tweet, view your tweets and direct messages as well as see all the people you are following and have blocked.
On the main AR view via the bottom menu bar, you can refresh all the tweets around you by clicking the refresh button, add more tweets by pressing the ‘+’ button. The ‘i’ button allows you to change your distance of tweets and range.
Upon opening the app, if you hold it horizontally you will be able to view the app in 2D view with all the tweets near you loaded flat and plotted as pins onto a Google map.
Clicking on a tweet in either 2D or Augmented Reality view will allow you to see all the tweets by that person. You can also click any links, reply to a message, see direct messages, re-tweet and block or follow tweeters.
People everywhere this is the tool to seriously ‘get your tweet on!!’
Please note:
Using this app will broadcast your current geo-location and will let you view other tweeters who are using a geo-location twitter app.
Only available for iPhone 3GS users
Fixed a bug that would cause half the camera view to be blank on iOS 4 devices.
