TwitterTrak will let you keep up on any topic you choose. Set the search term and it will gather the tweets for you.
Search examples:
#hashtag - To follow tagged topics
to:username - ONLY Tweets to a specific user.
from:username - ONLY Tweets from a specific person
someword - Of course, you can search for any term.
username - Tweets to, from and mentioning a specific person. This is the best way to track someones conversations. I actually do this to track my own nonsense on Twitter.
You can also mix and match the examples into one search.
