If you attend soccer games for any reason, then this application is for you. It is written by a coach to be used by coaches, parents and fans alike. At the most basic level this application allows you to track the time that has elapsed during a game, and the game’s score. However, the fun really starts when you want to keep track of more interesting statistics. For example, at any given moment, how long has each of the players been in the game? If you are interested in a particular player on the field, how many touches has that player had during their time in the game.? If you are tracking numbers for an entire team, how many touches does each player have, how many does the entire team have and how many does the other team have? Who on your team is most prone to give up possession of the ball? Who on your team, most commonly, is the one to win possession back from the opposing team? If a Penalty Kick is taken, would you be curious to know for future reference, where and how the player hit the ball? This application, literally, has it all. Features include:
- Track statistics for multiple players, teams, and games
- Track players by name and/or number
- Visual representation of game events on screen
- Each game may have a different game length, and tracking verbosity level
- Four different verbosity levels
o Game Clock and Score only
o Event locations included (if you just want to see where shots, fouls and other actions occur on the field, but you really don’t care which players were involved)
o Player involvement in event included (this is the default, and it lets you identify the players involved in the events)
o Everything included (this has everything, for example, on a corner kick, did a teammate get a head on the ball, did the other team clear the ball away, was a goal scored, etc.)
- Who were the starters in each period of the game?
- How long was each player in the game during a given period, or the entire game?
- Statistics tracked:
o Touches (by player and by team; numbers also tracked to identify the last person on the team to touch the ball, likely a turnover, and the first person on the team to touch the ball, likely a defensive win)
o Shots (who took the shot; what was the result of the shot, ie. saved, hit iron, hit wide, etc.)
o Corners (who took the corner; what was the result, ie. header from a teammate, saved by keeper, etc.)
o Crosses (who crossed the ball; was it hit well but no teammate had made a run; was it hit behind the net, etc. )
o Fouls (who fouled; who was fouled; what was the result of the foul; did it halt the opponents attack; did the player get a card)
o Turnovers (who turned the ball over; was it caused by a bad touch, a bad pass, a bad throw-in, etc.)
o Headers (who won the header, was it headed to a teammate, was it a defensive clear, was it a shot on goal, etc.)
o Saves (who)
o Defensive plays (tackles, stolen passes, shot deflections; also defensive mistakes like being dribbled by an opponent)
o Combinations (which players were involved; was it a takeover, a wall pass, overlap, etc.)
o Throw-ins (who threw the ball; was it retained by the throwing team or turned over to the other team; did the throw penetrate the 18)
o Cards (who and why)
o Substitutions (who is going in; who is coming out)
- View detailed statistics in application by category
o By Player
o By Team
o By Time (a chronological view of all game events)
