Ferrari is the oldest, most famous team in F1 - and is also the most successful. The Italian team has racked up more wins than any other in the sport's history, and now holds the record for the number of constructors' championships.
It was founded in 1929 by Enzo Ferrari, after several years as the sports car division of Alfa Romeo. Since then, the red team was the one where all drivers wanted to race. With most of the greatest drivers from Ascari to Juan Manuel Fangio in the 50s to Phil Hill and John Surtees in the 60s and Niki Lauda, Jody Scheckter and Villeneuve in the 70s and even Alain Prost in the 1990s, until the latest victories of Michael Schumacher and Kimi Raikkonen Ferrari is the Formula 1 team with the greatest pedigree.
