BrightBus is Champaign-Urbana's premium option for accessing real-time bus data!
Use BrightBus to find out when your bus will be arriving, and find stops nearby.
BrightBus focuses on real time data, and presents it with bold styling in an intuitive way that will appeal to any iOS power user.
BrightBus is the only CUMTD iOS app that isolates departure points. No need to sort through row after row of irrelevant bus departures that are leaving from across the street and heading in the opposite direction.
Features:
»Departures: Get estimated departure times for any departure point. BrightBus even shows if your bus is delayed from the scheduled time.
»Favorites: Save your favorite bus stops and instantly find out when your bus will be arriving.
»Location Search: Find stops nearby on devices with location services.
»Text Search: Search for a street, cross-streets, selected locations, or by classic 4-digit stop code prefixed with "MTD" (ex. MTD0100).
»Stop Details: BrightBus shows exactly where the departure points for each stop are located, so you know exactly where to board.
Example Uses:
»It's a 2 minute walk from your apartment to the bus stop. Instead of waiting out in the cold, wait indoors until BrightBus says your bus is 2 minutes from the stop, then leave your apartment.
»It's the just about the end of class. Should you skip out a couple minutes early to catch the bus? Check BrightBus and you'll know instantly if you should be sprinting towards the door, or if you can hang around and ask your professor a couple questions.
