Hiking Bryce Canyon National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park is a unique park located near Zion National Park in southwest Utah. It is known for its hoodoos, orange, pink and white spires of rock that protrude skyward out of Bryce Canyon. If you are planning a trip to hike in Bryce Canyon, this application is for you. It provides easy-to-use day hike information for most of the park’s day hiking trails.
It includes classic hikes around the Bryce Amphitheater to quieter hikes near Rainbow Point. The hiking maps can be panned and zoomed to make it easy to route your trek and check mileage.
Features for each hike:
-trailhead information
-hiking distances
-elevation change
-trail difficulty
-trail rating
-trail description
-trail map
-vertical profile for the strenuous hikes
The app also includes climate and weather information, so you can plan your adventure for the right time of year.
All this information is contained within the app. The only data that is obtained via the internet is the radar, weather forecast, and one map, the “Trailhead Locations” map.
Even if you aren't heading to Bryce Canyon in the next few days, using this app allows you to envision the day when you get a chance to see the unique park.
What's new
Added additional weather forecast information
Added a Sunrise/Sunset button to the weather tab, which allows users to get sunrise, sunset, and length of day information for select park locations on any date in the future
