The Pacha VIP guide stores the vast majority of content locally to the iPhone, so it does not need a connection - but features such as Tonight, News and Postcard sender use data - so its always worth remembering that mobile data is more expensive then data at home - maybe use Wi Fi when you want to use data intensive features.
