When it comes to outdoor recreation, Catalina Island fits the bill. And as for hiking, Catalina can’t be beat. No other Channel Island features the diversity that Catalina has to offer. An assortment of loop trails give day hikers a great glimpse at a variety of Island locales. The “grand daddy” of them all is the Trans-Catalina Trail, a 37.2 mile trail that transverses the entire island.

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can
dramatically decrease battery life.
