SOUNDWALK
Soundwalks are audio tours that use the cityscape as a backdrop for a fiction, like in a movie. You can escort Virginie Ledoyen through a romantic flanerie at the steps of musician Benjamin Biolay’s in Saint-Germain-des-Prés... Paul Auster evokes the memory of the World Trade Center for you... Jazzy Jay takes you to the Bronx to tell you about the birth of hip-hop...
One neighborhood, one talent, one story. You install Soundwalk on your iPhone, then take a one-hour tour guided by the voice of an iconic figure from the city. Each character intimately unveils her neighborhood. Walking in the shoes of an insider, you can saunter through the back doors and secret courtyards, and listen to interviews with neighborhood residents. Actors, scenario, original soundtrack... Soundwalk is a cinematographic experience set in the real world.
A RENDEZ-VOUS IN SAINT-GERMAIN-DES-PRES WITH VIRGINIE LEDOYEN
Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a mythical area of Paris, is narrated by Virginie Ledoyen with an original soundtrack composed by Benjamin Biolay. This Soundwalk is a love story punctuated by anecdotes, historical facts, and interviews with residents like Jane Birkin & Gabriel Matzneff.
Virginie Ledoyen is sitting at the Café de Flore. A man passes by. She feels attracted to him, and decides to follow him across Saint-Germain-des-Prés, taking us for a walk around this mythical neighborhood of Paris, where the streets are still haunted by the ghosts of Picasso, Apollinaire, Sartre and Beauvoir, Oscar Wilde... She follows the stranger from a distance, loses track of him, and then finds him again... It is a game of cat and mouse between the Boulevard Saint-Germain and the National Academy of Fine Arts, between secret courtyards and art galleries. The stranger is Benjamin Biolay, who composed the soundtrack of this poetic and mysterious Soundwalk.
