★ About the Author ★

Catherine Bodry is a travel and adventure writer who has hunkered on the floor of long-tail boats, partied all night at the infamous Full Moon Party, set her mouth on fire with som tam and nam prik all while in the line of duty for Lonely Planet's Thailand and BootsnAll's WhyGo Thailand. She's lived in Chiang Mai, where she studied Thai, and swam laps along the shore of little Ko Mak.

Catherine also writes or has written for BBC.com/travel, Trail Runner Magazine, AOL's Gadling, MSN Travel UK, and several other Lonely Planet guides (Alaska, Canada, Pacific Northwest Trips). During the warmer, brighter months, she calls Alaska home.
