Each itinerary showcases a particular region: the peaks, hiking and skiing trails, and bikepaths of the northern Green Mountains; the lakeside orchards, farm stands, and pumpkin patches of the Champlain Valley; or the historical sites, white steeples, and village greens of central and southern Vermont.

★ About the Authors ★

Gregor Clark, author of the fall section of this app, fell in love with Vermont at age 16 during a summer volunteering at Merck Forest. Since then, he's lived in Vermont for nearly 15 years, traveled virtually every back road in the state and spent countless hours designing itineraries for friends and relatives. As a regular writer for Lonely Planet, he's also sung Vermont's praises in the book New England Trips, between research trips to Italy, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Uruguay, and other farther-flung destinations.

Clare Innes, who wrote the winter section of this app, has lived in Vermont for nearly a decade and has spent many more years than that poking around in its nooks and crannies, on skis, by bike, in snowshoes and hiking boots. She's written about Vermont for several publications, including the Boston Globe, the Lonely Planet Guide to New England, and Yankee Magazine. This app has given her a fabulous excuse to explore ever more terrain and activities, and enabled her to cross paths with a wild spectrum of adventurers.
