Get a taste of European history and architecture with a large selection of Europe's most amazing and impressive castles and castle ruins in HD, from regions all over the continent: castles from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, Scandinavia, and the north.

World castles are examples of some of the most impressive and inspiring architecture the world has to offer, with more castles and ruins to see than even a full-time traveler could possibly visit. Some are the descendants of ancient hill forts that have since been modified and re-modified again, others are ruins that have been reduced to just a few standing walls that serve as a reminder of the great fortress that once stood there, and still others are more recent creations constructed out of a love for beauty and architecture rather than any defensive value. World Castles HD shows a selection of castles from across Europe, from Scandinavia in the north to France in the west, Spain and Portugal in the south, and even all the way to Armenia in the east. There is also an explanation for each to give you a head start on the history and origin of some of Europe's most impressive ancient and medieval fortresses.
